What the job looks like
Each day you’ll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:
- Owning, challenging, and refining the Global Procurement and ESO digital transformation roadmap.
- Driving the planning, coordination, and management of digital projects within procurement and across functional teams, including budgeting and resourcing, to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
- Identifying potential issues and alternative solutions, and elevating digitalization ideas by exploring, evaluating, and prioritizing opportunities based on user needs, business context, technical feasibility, and other key factors.
- Leading the enhancement and optimization of procurement tools to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Championing novel ideas and mobilizing the organization to work more effectively through digitalization.
- Leading digital transformation initiatives focused on improving procurement efficiency, cost savings, and risk and supplier management.
- Staying up to date with industry trends and best practices in digital transformation and procurement.
- Ensuring successful change management and adoption of new digital tools and processes across the organization.
- Supporting and training users on software systems, interfaces, workflows, and other related activities to maximize adoption and impact.
What you’ll bring to the table
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:
- A university degree in Data Science, Business Administration, Information Technology or related field is required
- Proven track record in project management of digital procurement solutions, including identification, implementation, and integration at local and global levels
- Comprehensive functional knowledge in the field of strategic sourcing, purchasing, and supplier relationship management, ideally in a leading industry (e.g., consumer goods, high tech, automotive, etc.)
- and/or management consulting with a focus on digital procurement transformations
- Fluent business English skills (oral and written); additional capabilities in German and/or Spanish language skills are beneficial
- Hands-on expertise in SAP/ECC/ERP applications, any of the leading eProcurement software (e.g., SAP Ariba, Jaegger, GEP, etc.), and extensive knowledge of the rapidly evolving niche/specialized software market for procurement applications
- Travel requirement: approximately 20% - 30%
- Project Management skills to lead digital transformation initiatives, technology integration and process improvement projects
- Strong skills in effectively managing internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies and business goals
