- Ensure timely and accurate financial deliverables by coordinating monthly reporting, planning, and forecasting cycles within Operational Controlling. Align outputs with central standards while adapting to business-specific requirements.
- Translate controlling standards into operational routines by implementing harmonized processes and tools across the team. Support consistency and agility in day-to-day execution while remaining responsive to evolving business needs.
- Maintain data integrity and reliability by overseeing validation routines, plausibility checks, and reconciliation processes. Ensure that financial data used in reporting and analysis is complete, consistent, and trusted.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies, initiating process enhancements, and embedding scalable best practices. Contribute to a mindset of operational excellence and questioning the status quo.
- Strengthened cross-functional impact by promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing across controlling teams, especially within OCE, but also the entire Controlling Function, ensuring consistent direction and synergy.
- Act as point of contact for Operational Controlling in all operational controlling matters, ensuring close alignment with business needs through active engagement with stakeholders.
- Execute closing and control activities such as accrual validation, scrap bookings, and PO approvals. Monitor compliance with internal policies and escalate issues where needed to ensure financial completeness.
- Support and drive adoption of digital finance tools by piloting predictive and agile solutions within the team. Provide feedback to central functions and help embed new technologies into operational routines.
What you'll bring to the table
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:
Mandatory Requirements:
- Advanced English level (C1)
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in Controlling, ideally in a pharmaceutical environment.
- Experience in operational controlling, with hands-on experience in monthly reporting, forecasting, and planning cycles.
- Demonstrated experience in process harmonization and standardization, preferably across different business units or geographies.
- Strong proficiency in SAP (FI/CO, BW) or equivalent ERP systems.
- Familiarity with planning, reporting, and analysis tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, OGP (TM1) or similar.
Desired Requirements:
- Additional qualifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA, Lean Six Sigma) are a plus.
