What the job looks like 

Each day you’ll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as: 

  • Shape and execute the CAM business strategy by aligning local, regional, and global priorities and translating them into clear commercial choices and execution plans. 

  • Drive sustainable business growth by maximizing portfolio performance, delivering commercial objectives, and ensuring brand availability across priority channels. 

  • Build high-performing Sales and Marketing teams by strengthening capabilities, fostering engagement, supporting succession planning, and creating a culture of accountability. 

  • Deliver strong brand-plan execution by overseeing strategic and tactical plans and ensuring impactful omnichannel customer engagement across the portfolio. 

  • Optimize resources and organizational performance by promoting productivity, execution excellence, and data-driven decision-making. 

  • Strengthen customer and stakeholder relationships by representing CAM with key customers and partners and contributing actively to regional leadership teams and forums. 

  • Anticipate risks and growth opportunities by monitoring healthcare systems, market dynamics, and competitor activity and translating insights into timely commercial actions. 

  • Enable cross-functional collaboration by mobilizing local, regional, and global matrix teams around shared business priorities. 

  • Lead the broader CAM organization including KAM, Sales Leadership, Brand Management, Distribution, Administration, and Executive Support roles, while overseeing distribution and Venezuela administration through the responsible managers. 

  • Champion organizational growth and leadership excellence by developing talent, promoting learning agility, and strengthening the long-term capabilities of the business. 

What you’ll bring to the table 

To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have: 

 
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial roles within the pharmaceutical industry, such as Sales, Marketing, Medical, or related business functions. 

  • At least 3 years of experience leading teams and managing resources in a complex business environment. 

  • Proven experience developing and executing commercial strategies that deliver sustainable business results. 

  • Experience leading at least one launch of an innovative or differentiated product. 

  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills across internal and external partners. 

  • Experience working in matrix organizations and collaborating across multiple countries and functions. 

  • Degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Natural Sciences, Health Sciences, or a related field. 

  • Advanced spoken and written business English. 

  • Postgraduate studies or an MBA are desirable. 

  • Regional experience in multi-country environments, Central American healthcare systems, market access, sales-force transformation, or Grünenthal priority therapeutic areas such as Pain is desirable. 

  • Strategic and analytical thinking with the ability to translate complex information into clear priorities and decisions. 

  • Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and collaboration capabilities, together with learning agility and the potential for continued growth.
