What the job looks like
Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:
- Dealing with the procurement of materials and components necessary for the correct supply of the company's requirements according to the production schedule and customer demand.
- Managing and planning supplies for assigned materials (including long lead time items);
- Defining the delivery times of materials required for the execution of the Production Plan and making the sectors involved aware of particularly urgent cases for the availability of materials, as well processing the issue and maintenance of purchase orders;
- Management of material reminders to suppliers, call-off management, as well sharing rolling forecasts of purchasing requirements with suppliers;
- Management of import practices through current forwarding agents;
- Maintaining Master Data and specifically planning data in the company management system (Lead time, MOQ, safety stock, safety lead time, reorder point);
- Co-ordinating the activities of creating and issuing the necessary documentation for production;
- Implement and update KPIs to monitor supplier performance, inventory level and obsolescence risks; take corrective actions to mitigate risks of destruction.
What you'll bring to the table
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:
- Previous experience in supply chain roles in manufacturing industries;
- Degree in Management Engineering/Business Administration/Languages or STEM;
- Fluency in English;
- Good knowledge of the main IT tools (Office package, Excell), the knowledge of SAP management software is highly beneficial;
- Knowledge of MRP, KANBAN procurement logic;
- Experience in OPEX improvement projects (inventory, efficiency, etc.) would be beneficial;
- Excellent communication skills to work in cross-functional teams, organisational skills, result-driven, proactivity and resourcefulness.
