In this role, you will lead Medical Excellence across Latin America. This role is central to ensuring strong medical compliance, governance, and best‑in‑class medical information, while acting as a strategic connector between global, regional, and country organizations. Through leadership, standards, and cross‑functional collaboration, you will shape the Medical Affairs agenda and support sustainable brand success across the region.

 

What the job looks like

 

Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:

 

  • Lead Medical Excellence and Medical Compliance in LatAm, ensuring adherence to policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory frameworks.
  • Manage the regional function and programs for Medical Information, Patient Support Programs (PSP), and Medical Science Liaisons (MSL).
  • Act as a Global–Regional–Country liaison, translating and adapting global guidelines into effective local execution.
  • Strategically contribute to Establish Medicine Brand Teams at global, regional, and local levels, ensuring alignment with brand strategy.
  • Own the regional Medical Affairs budget, in close collaboration with Finance.

 

What you'll bring to the table

 

To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:

 

  • Advanced scientific academic background
  • 5–8 years of experience in Medical Affairs
  • Experience in leadership roles within Medical Affairs
  • Advanced level of English
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the pharmaceutical industry
  • High stakeholder management capability
  • Project Management skills

 

The role can be based in any country where Grünenthal has a legal entity: Mexico, Panama, Colombia, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, or Chile.
