What the job looks like:
- Accountable for process standardization and alignment across functions, markets / regions and for regular measurement of process compliance;
- Accountable for the creation & maintenance of all required process-related documentation;
- Representation of the Plan functions to the IT and Business Systems organizations to define and agree the scope, system design, priorities, roadmap and resource allocation for all Plan related projects;
- Accountable for identifying, developing and implementing standardized process enhancements and / or introducing new processes and policies based on their functional expertise, benchmarking, innovation and lean principles;
- Collect ideas from end users and coalesce into proposals for people, process, and technology. Specific to technology - Enhance system capabilities by translating user requirements into functional requirements in alignment with IT (primary focus on SAP);
- Create and maintain functional community of practices (CoPs) with key subject matter experts (SMEs) to facilitate the sharing of best practice, deliver system and process training and manage process improvement projects;
- Broadly accountable for the competency of the planners and ‘power users’ in the Sites/Region/ Sector via leadership of the training program;
- Ensure ongoing integrity of training materials as well as the coordination and delivery of training (either directly or via the Power User network);
- Responsible for the controlled and compliant implementation of process changes including all Change Management and Change Control processes (both IT and Non-IT related);
- Accountable, through training or other means, for the effective progression of the users through the change curve such that the benefits of the process improvement can be realized;
- Testing - Accountable for testing execution (either directly or via the Power User network) for all platform changes relevant to the functional area;
What you'll bring to the table:
- Education: University Bachelors Degree or equivalent. MBA or equivalent preferred. Green Belt Six Sigma Certifications & Supply Chain Certification (APICS/ IBF) desirable;
- Minimum of 8 years of general Supply Chain experience in any combination of PLAN, Source, Make or Deliver positions. (Ideally has worked for at least 5 years outside of the PLAN function in the Supply Chain.);
- Minimum of 5 years working directly in Supply Chain Planning as a functional expert in two or more of the following areas: Network Supply Planning, Production Planning, Inventory Planning ,Sales and Operations Planning, Supply Chain Design and Optimization;
- Functional Knowledge: Recognized as a planning expert in their functional field;
- Proven track record of achieving results through a process mindset & approach;
- Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of at least one of the other Supply Chain Pillars/ functions (i.e. Source, Make, Deliver);
- Uses compliance expertise to ensure documentation compliance & discipline;
- Self- starter who has the ability to effectively manage projects, multiple priorities, timelines and change management;
- The ability to negotiate and influence without authority in a matrix organization;
- Ability to think strategically and highly analytical;
- Ability to make the complex clear and compelling to all levels of the organization in both written & oral forms;
- Ability to teach both conceptual & tactical training;
- Ability to forge internal collaboration across the enterprise, leveraging a broad range of perspectives to create effective solutions;
