What the job looks like
Each day you´ll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:
- Leading and supporting the tactical procurement part (e.g. executes RfQs, negotiations, contracting) for assigned spend areas with focus on Grünenthal’s RTX project.
- Managing supplier relationship and activities of assigned supplier network, with main focus on the RTX upstream supply chain, ensuring strong collaboration with supplier, timely execution of activities, end-to-end inventory transparency and future projection for related RTX materials in the upstream supply chain.
- Providing functional and operational support to assigned spend areas, acts as business partner, leads discussions and decisions with regards to S2C processes and supplier relationship activities.
- Taking responsibility for assigned spend areas with the professional guidance of Procurement and External Supply Operations (ESO) leads.
- Ensuring compliance to standard processes across functions, departments and regions, especially Tendering and Contract Management including document management, supports vendor due diligence process and master data management for vendors
What you´ll bring to the table
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:
- A University Degree in relevant field
- Ideally 3 – 5 years relevant experience within the pharmaceutical industry in a comparable role in a state-of-the-art Procurement, preferred within Direct Material area, and/or ESO organizations
- Practical expertise in tactical and operational procurement processes and in managing supplier relationships
- Passion about continuous improvement, driving new topics & being part of new initiatives
- Strong communication & networking skills and experience in working in cross-functional projects
- Fluent business English, German is a plus
