What the job looks like
Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:
- Support the due diligence process of M&A deals and other strategic business projects, with a focus on data analytics and business case modelling
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data by maintaining databases/processes and identifying relevant key information for the different projects
- Proactively identify automation opportunities and develop solutions that simplify M&A processes and make Corporate Strategy more efficient
- Collaborate closely with the strategy team members and other key functions (e.g., finance, operations), to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions in an agile and iterative manner
- Develop sound business forecasts, defining the correct level of granularity, main assumptions & value drivers, limitations, and relevant outputs
- Drive data analyses (e.g., portfolio overview, competitive landscape, industry screening), and communicate insights to stakeholders with supporting materials
What you'll bring to the table
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:
- 1-3 years consulting experience in one of the top tier strategy consulting firms or corporate finance roles (including but not limited to Investment Banking or Private Equity) and/or corporate Development in a pharmaceutical company
- Strong financial modelling background with experience in revenue/cost models and market analysis
- Finance or Engineering background with an excellent academic record
- Proficiency in using Excel and PowerPoint; experience in programming and with other software (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI) is a plus
- A natural curiosity and will to make an impact
- Strong interpersonal skills and desire to work in a highly collaborative environment
- Time-management skills and ability to work with minimum supervision
- Strong problem solving, critical thinking and high attention to detail
- Ability to find data insights and reduce complexity into business recommendations
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
