What the job looks like
Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:

  • Manage Post-Merger Integration projects and take over responsibility for the wholistic project steering from an end-to-end perspective 
  • Lead the cross-functional Integration team and interact with international / big pharma companies from a “buy-side”
  • Prepare Project Steering Committees and manage respective stakeholders
  • Facilitate and steer Alliances, e.g. following significant M&A and licensing deals
  • Prepare, facilitate and track actions from regular Alliance specific steering committee meetings
  • Take part in strategic relevant negotiations and develop a business sense on potential upcoming opportunities
  • Take a leading role in the department Integration & Alliance and steer strategic (transition) projects
  • Interact on senior and executive level and manage stakeholders, internally and externally
  • Support and prepare for Alliance related aspects also internally, create a balanced opinion and convey Grünenthal’s interests towards our partner
  • Develop further Alliances - together with an international and cross-functional core team - to even raise more value out of an Alliance
  • Prepare memos and presentations for internal / external decision making

 

What you'll bring to the table
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:

  • University degree in economy or scientific studies required
  • At least 7 years years relevant working experience including first exposure to negotiations 
  • Solid experience from contributing to M&A projects, e.g. in Due Diligences, Business Case creation, supporting transfer and switch activities
  • Good background and understanding of Life Sciences, especially Pharma Operations / Supply / Regulatory
  • Very advanced experience in managing PMI projects in the pharmaceutical sector
  • Good negotiation skills and the ability to convince and move a partner
  • Strong team player, having fun to work in cross-functional teams, regionally and internationally
  • Strong in interacting with and managing senior and executive stakeholders
  • Proven strategic and analytical thinking ability 
  • Very good interpersonal and intercultural skills
  • Ability to create and develop a trustworthy relationship and ability to perceive intertones as early as possible
  • Fluent English negotiation skills as must have, German and Spanish langauge skills preferred
