What the job looks like

Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:

  • Acting as a Global Safety Lead for assigned products (drug candidates from first-in-men to phase 3 clinical trials as well as authorized medicinal products)
  • Acting as a drug safety product responsible person (HQ function) and maintain a profound and up-to-date knowledge of assigned products in particular in terms of signaling, risk management, benefit/risk balance, and disease understanding;
    • Developing and overseeing the execution of product specific safety strategies
    • Writing and/or reviewing periodic safety reports (PSURs, PBRERs, DSURs, ASRs)
    • Creating and maintaining risk management plans and oversee the implementation of additional risk management activities
    • Chairing cross-functional Benefit-Risk Teams
  • Leading Global Drug Safety internal process and/or product sub-teams, interact and communicate proactively with Grünenthal in- and external stakeholders, and understand the strategic goals linked to assigned products/projects also as part of the overall corporate strategy

 

What you'll bring to the table

To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:

  • A scientific university degree in human medicine or pharmacy, with a doctoral degree
  • Preferably professional experience in pharmacovigilance
  • Profound medical and scientific understanding in assessing safety data
  • Strong interest in and knowledge of current pharmacovigilance environment, regulations, and processes
  • Willingness to take responsibility and to proactively contribute to a high-performing, multi-national team
  • Very good knowledge of English language (both spoken and in writing)
  • Good project management skills
  • Good medical writing skills
  • Knowledge of German and/or Spanish language would be a plus
