What the job looks like
Each day you´ll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:
- Leading the tactical procurement part within “Source to Contract” (S2C) process of defined area as well as executing RfQs, negotiations and contracting
- Providing functional and operational support to assigned areas/entities, acting as a business partner and key contact for budget holders and leadership teams as well as leading discussions and decisions with regards to S2C processes
- Taking responsibility for assigned spend areas/ sub-categories with the professional guidance of the Procurement Lead and supporting the development and execution of the category strategy
- Assessing and evaluating demand requirements raised by areas/entities as well as informing, escalating and discussing requirements with Procurement Leads and global procurement team
- Conducting analysis/ reports to identify bundling effects, framework contracts and catalogues as well as conducting operational supplier performance management
- Implementing procurement awareness amongst all relevant process stakeholders, providing comprehensive governance framework for procurement process, monitoring and reporting on spend and obligo as well as ensuring accuracy of purchase orders
- Ensuring compliance to standard processes across functions, departments and regions, especially Tendering and Contract Management including document management as well as supporting vendor due diligence process and master data management for vendors
- Contributing on change and continuous improvement initiatives for optimization of Global Procurement and the spend categories to increase efficiency and reduce costs
What you´ll bring to the table
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:
- Degree – preferably in business or equivalent
- Relevant practical experience in a comparable role in a state-of-the-art procurement organization
- Practical tactical / operational expertise in procurement processes
- Good understanding of supply markets in typical spend areas as well as experience in cross-functional projects
- Fluent in English (additional language is a plus)
- Basic understanding of contract law
- Very good analytical, communication and presentation skills
- Excellent MS Office skills and knowledge of SAPMM, eSourcing & other eProcurement tools
