What the job looks like
Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:

  • Act as a trusted senior legal advisor to internal stakeholders at all levels in an international pharmaceutical M&A environment
  • Provide end‑to‑end legal support across cross‑border M&A transactions, including due diligence, structuring, drafting, negotiation and execution of share and asset deals (incl. product and licensing transactions)  
  • Serve as a key legal contributor during M&A integration phases and post‑merger activities
  • Ensure legally sound, pragmatic and business‑oriented transaction solutions aligned with business objectives
  • Manage and coordinate external international M&A law firms, ensuring quality, efficiency and cost‑effectiveness
  • Lead and further develop a small team of experienced Senior Legal Counsels M&A

 

What you'll bring to the table
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:

  • Fully qualified lawyer status under the German legal system with an above‑average degree
  • At least 5 years of significant experience in M&A transactions and corporate law
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in an international law firm within an M&A‑driven life sciences environment
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills in complex, international settings
  • Strong performance‑driven mindset combined with pragmatism, persuasiveness and a high sense of responsibility
  • Confident, integrative and interculturally savvy team player who enjoys working in a collaborative, international environment
  • Business‑fluent German and English negotiation skills; additional languages (e.g. Spanish) are a plus
