What the job looks like
Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:

  • Act as the primary legal advisor for all Partner Business matters, including commercial agreements and strategic alliances
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to support strategic decision-making and risk management
  • Draft, negotiate, and execute cross-border agreements (e.g., distribution, licensing, collaborations)
  • Support partner-related projects such as due diligence, agreement structuring, and integration
  • Develop templates, guidelines, and training materials tailored to the Partner Business environment
  • Manage external international law firms when needed
  • Contribute to the implementation of Grünenthal’s Partner Business strategy within a dynamic, international pharma context
  • Be a trusted legal voice in cross-functional initiatives, helping shape the future of strategic partnerships

 

What you should bring to the table
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:

  • Experience as a qualified lawyer with a strong academic background and a solid track record in life sciences and commercial law
  • Proven ability to advise on complex international transactions, especially strategic partnerships and licensing deals
  • Strong project management and negotiation skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex legal concepts for senior stakeholders
  • High level of engagement, ownership, and a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset
  • Ability to build trust and collaborate across cultures in a global organization
  • Fluency in English; additional languages such as German or Spanish are a plus
  • A hands-on, “can-do” attitude with creativity and a strong sense of responsibility
