What the job looks like
Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:

  • Lead strategic business projects for the Grünenthal Group, the CEO, and the Corporate Executive Board; independently own major corporate strategy projects/programs
  • Strategically support Grünenthal’s ambitious external growth strategy definition and execution, working closely with the business and key functions (e.g. finance, operations)
  • Drive M&A projects from strategy development and business case modelling to due diligence (across functions) with a focus on commercial due diligence, manage 3rd party when required
  • Develop the deal rationale / investment thesis (including synergy definition) and in-depth investment memorandums and present to senior management regarding rationale of transactions
  • Support the negotiation of transaction documents and execution

 

What you'll bring to the table
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:

  • Excellent university degree in business administration, economics, science or equivalent
  • 5-8 years consulting experience in one of the top tier strategy consulting firms at senior project manager level or corporate finance roles including, but not limited to, Corporate Development, Private Equity, Venture Capital and/or Investment Banking
  • Sound knowledge of Pharma/Healthcare
  • Strong project and program leadership experience
  • Significant experience in managing due diligences (especially commercial due diligences) in the pharmaceutical sector
  • Strong command of the M&A processes, including strategic evaluation, structuring, due diligence and execution
  • Highly strategic and motivated leader who is comfortable dealing with ambiguity and working with global cross functional teams
  • Strong command of the M&A processes, including strategic evaluation, structuring, due diligence and execution
  • Proven ability in developing relationships (internal and external) and influencing effectively across all levels and teams in the organization
