What the job looks like
Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:
• Entering sales orders coming from the customers into the SAP-System (SD module)
• Monitoring of customer orders, tracking of planned production dates to issue the order confirmation to the customer
• Narcotic handling of customer and purchase orders in case of import- and export licences with 4-eyes principle
• Continuous adjustment of confirmed delivery dates according to the capacity planning
• Daily Sales monitoring and backlog prioritization
• Assess and evaluate customer order patterns and derive required decision making activities
• Monitoring of goods receipt from production and external suppliers including quality release
• Consolidation of orders and detailed delivery planning for an optimized transportation together with the warehouse team
• Booking of transportation (air, sea and road)
• Creation of delivery in SAP, creation of final invoice in SAP, creation of delivery and customs relevant export documents
• Main contact person to the customer for the order processing under Customer Service perspective
• Master data work - Creation of new/adaptation of existing customers and customer-material info records
• Ensure Foreign Trade compliance to process export control checks, determine preferential origin status, attend customs audits and support operational set-up of agreed new supply chains
What you'll bring to the table
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:
• Successfully qualified commercial education with more than 3 years professional experience
• Experience in the field of order management, export business, foreign trade and customer service
• Profound and comprehensive knowledge of SAP ERP module SD, MM
• Participation in order process optimization initiatives
• Knowledge of Control Tower activities
• English fluent and preferably one further European language
• Strong ability with MS Excel (MS Office experience as a plus)
• Very good computer literacy
• Strong analytical skills
• Continuous improvement mindset ensuring we adapt our processes as required
• Strong team player and networker
• Customer orientation/mindset
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are required to execute communications within the organization.
