What the job looks like

Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:

• Manage our state-of-the-art Liquid Handling Landscape and the incoming & outgoing research sample flow and inventory
• Provide research samples, screening plates and compound shipments to internal teams and external partners, including shipment preparation
• Design and optimize automated liquid handling methods, workflows, and dispensing strategies - new layouts, dispensing schemes, increased lab automation level
• Ensure reliable operation of our fully automated systems like robots, liquid handlers, automated tube & vial storages and auxiliary devices like de/cappers, barcode readers/labeler, hotels, volume detectors, integrated centrifuges and more
• Drive the evaluation and implementation of new automation technologies, software solutions, and digital workflows
• Handle sample management, ordering and automated store software
• Collaborate closely with scientists, laboratories, logistics, and procurement teams

What you'll bring to the table

To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:

• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field, or Master's degree with relevant industry experience
• Experience in liquid handling, lab automation, and method programming (ideally Beckman Coulter and Azenta/REMP)
• Python programming skills for laboratory workflow automation, data analysis, and instrument integration are a plus
• Basic knowledge in shipment and documentation of solid and liquid research samples
• Proven track record in implementing new technologies, equipment, and processes
• Customer-oriented team player with strong analytical and multitasking skills
