What the job looks like
Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:

  • Providing legal advice to R&D and Procurement regarding various legal areas of health care, pharma and life science
  • Drafting, negotiating and executing various types of procurement and other (operational) agreements, including general services, services related to R&D, supply, consultancy and collaboration with external profit and non-profit organizations
  • Delivering legal content to strategic and groupwide initiatives driven by Global Legal Operations focusing on digitalization, automation and standardization, e.g. contract lifecycle management, matter management, process optimization, implementation and usage of artificial intelligence in Global Legal, Procurement and beyond
  • Managing external international law firms in relation to all areas of responsibility

 

What you'll bring to the table
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:

  • An above average German university degree as fully qualified lawyer
  • Around 5 years of relevant working experience
  • Relevant working experience within an international law firm and/or legal inhouse team in all areas of responsibility with proven track record, ideally in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector
  • High interest in and willingness to support Legal Operations Initiatives
  • “Can do” and “hands on” mentality and creativity, good collaboration skills and eagerness to learn
  • Proven stakeholder management and intercultural communication skills, ability to understand complex information and data and to communicate in simple terms to diverse stakeholders
  • Performance-driven approach combined with a high sense of responsibility and the right degree of pragmatism
  • Business-fluent negotiation skills in German and English, additional language skills (e.g. Spanish) are a plus
