What the job looks like 
Each day you’ll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:

  • Development, optimization and validation of analytical methods with a focus on quantitative LC-MS analysis for starting materials and pharmaceuticals in the Analytical Manufacturing & Science department
  • Development and validation of test methods for nitrosamine analysis
  • Reviewing and evaluating analysis results, as well as creating plans, laboratory instructions and reports (e.g. method development reports, validation reports)
  • Transfer of analytical methods including planning and practical implementation of analytical work
  • Creation of GMP-compliant documentation including plans and reports
  • Technical guidance and support for assigned technical employees and trainees
  • Ad hoc support with reporting and data analysis

What you’ll bring to the table
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:

  • Successfully completed master's degree, chemical engineering or comparable course/training in the field of chemistry, instrumental analysis 
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in the areas of development, optimization and validation of analytical LC-MS methods including troubleshooting and associated software 
  • Good knowledge of GMP guidelines
  • Experience working with databases (LIMS) and software such as Waters Connect, Mass Lynx, XCalibur, Analyst or similar LC-MS software for quantitative analysis
  • Strong analytical skills and affinity for working with numbers
  • Independent, responsible and structured way of working
  • High motivation, flexibility, resilience and reliability 
  • Ability to work in a team, strong communication skills, initiative
  • Service-oriented and willing to work in interdisciplinary teams
  • Good written and spoken English knowledge
