What the Job Looks Like
Each day, you’ll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:

  • Leading and managing a global organization for Analytical & Manufacturing Sciences with teams in Germany and Latin America
  • Steering activities related to Drug Product Development, Analytical Development, scale-up, industrialization, transfer to commercial manufacturing, and troubleshooting (e.g., investigation and elucidation of impurities and degradation products)
  • Building and continuously improving scientific expertise and the technology portfolio through appropriate staffing, training, and adaptation of in-house infrastructure (equipment and technologies)
  • Establishing and maintaining effective interfaces and cooperation with relevant functions such as QA, Project Management, Manufacturing Sites, R&D, Business Development, and IT to ensure and continuously improve efficiency, operational excellence, and effectiveness
  • Managing multi-project and resource planning, including budgeting and budget tracking
  • Assuming responsibility for continuous people development through personal development plans, coaching, team building, and development initiatives


What You’ll Bring to the Table
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:

  • A university degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or an equivalent field; PhD preferred
  • Profound experience (5+ years) in relevant functions such as Manufacturing Science & Technology, Formulation and/or Analytical Development, and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
  • Proven in-depth knowledge and background in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry, with a strong track record in product and process improvements
  • Significant experience in leading global and complex organizations
  • An enthusiastic leadership style with strong influencing and communication skills to interact effectively across functional, geographic, and cultural boundaries
  • A dynamic personality with high levels of agility, creativity, enthusiasm, and commitment
  • Fluency in Business English; German and Spanish language skills are a plus
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • Location: Aachen, Germany or Santiago, Chile
