What the job looks like
Each day you’ll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:
- Develop and steer the overall communication strategy for Global Operations, translating business strategy and transformation initiatives into clear, compelling narratives
- Drive alignment and engagement across a complex global operations network (covering manufacturing, supply chain and related functions) by ensuring consistent, strategic messaging across functions, regions and leadership levels
- Act as a trusted strategic communications advisor and sparring partner to the Head of Global Operations and the leadership team, shaping high-impact communication aligned with business priorities
- Build communication capabilities across the organization by coaching senior leaders and mentoring communication teams, fostering excellence and best-practice sharing globally
- Identify and leverage internal and external communication channels (e.g., town halls, videos, leadership roadshows, intranet, social media, website, events, annual reports)
- Collaborate closely with the Global Communications team on cross-functional initiatives
What you'll bring to the table
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:
- At least 8 years of experience in a senior communication role, advising a variety of senior stakeholders
- University degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field
- Proven hands-on experience in agency or in-house communication environments
- Proven ability to work effectively across hierarchy levels and influence stakeholders, including close collaboration with senior leadership and executives
- Strong understanding of operational and manufacturing environments
- Native or near-native proficiency in English and fluency in Spanish required
- Flexibility to work in Aachen at least two times per month and occasional business travel (e.g. Italy, Portugal and Latin America)
