What the job looks like
Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:

 

  • As Bench Scientist isolate and deliver purified products from medium-throughput parallel chemistry (SMOL) and Oligonucleotide (ASO) synthesis platforms
  • Apply specialist knowledge to develop new analytical & purification methods and provide in-time solutions to challenging separations and purifications
  • Within the LC team ensure daily operational readiness of all analytical and preparative LC/SFC-MS systems, including trouble shooting, maintenance & repairing
  • Track materials and document in ELN along the entire purification workflows
  • Continually expand your LC expert knowledge and evaluate new technologies
  • Implement state-of-the-art systems and optimize existing or establish new workflows 
  • Manage purification requests and maximize the effectiveness of the Liquid Chromatography (LC) team´s contribution to small molecule (SMOL) and Genetic Medicine (GenMed) Research projects
     

What you'll bring to the table

To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:

  • Ph.D. or fully-fledged M.Sc. in (Analytical) Chemistry or in equivalent disciplines
  • Some years’ experience in the field of LC-UV/MS purification and analytics
  • Hands-on experience with maintenance & troubleshooting of LC/SFC-MS systems
  • Demonstrated implementation of technologies & processes in cross-functional teams
  • Proven track record in purification of SMOL and Oligonucleotides
  • Broad knowledge of UV/MS/ELSD/CAD detection methods across multiple vendors
  • Fluent business English language skills in speaking and writing 
  • High self-motivation, customer-orientation and attention to detail with passion to support cross functional collaborations across diverse programs
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver on multiple priorities simultaneously
