What the job looks like
Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:

• Proactive and forward-looking Controlling Business Partnering to the R&D (senior) management as well as to the R&D project teams (incl. project team membership as Finance representative)
• Actively support the financial & business performance mgmt. of R&D
• Responsibility for running and supporting the (operational) business of R&D CO (incl. e.g. YE reporting & Analysis and other recurring financial group processes)
• Foster economic awareness & drive performance in R&D by acting as the financial conscience
• Setup and coordinate the financial processes for R&D as the responsible business process owner thereby ensuring proper governance
• Continuously identify and realize process-, system- & reporting optimization opportunities to ensure a high level of financial transparency and to drive operational efficiency & development in R&D
• Drive and contribute to selected optimization projects in Finance

What you'll bring to the table
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:

• Professional degree in business administration, economics or similar, preferably with a specialty in Controlling 
• 5+ years of experience in operational (R&D) Controlling
• Experience in BP roles to senior management and project leads
• Openness to drive change, paired with a strong can-do attitude
• Experience in pharmaceutical industry is a plus
• Virtual work experience in an international context
• Experienced in planning and reporting tools (e.g. TM1, Qlik)
• Strong written and verbal English skills
