To inform and lead on the implementation of Market Access (MA) Strategy across the UK and Ireland.  To lead and direct the NHS Partnership Consultant (NHS PC) Team to deliver the UK MA strategy, optimising patient access. To explore the need for MA support for GRT in Ireland.

To represent Market Access on the UKI Leadership Team.

  • To represent the Market Access of the full GRT portfolio on the UKI Leadership Team.
  • To develop and implement Market Access strategy for the UK and Ireland, demonstrating how patient access and key performance indicators will be achieved.
  • To motivate and empower the NHS PC team to deliver the Market Access strategy across the UK.
  • To work closely with both the UK and Ireland Heads of Sales to provide MA support where required.
  • To work with the strategic pricing and commercial access manager to ensure continuity of supply and access to the Grunenthal portfolio.
  • To address barriers to access and increase pull through of the promoted portfolio by identifying prescribers, influencers and decision-making groups that have an influence on current provision of healthcare.
  • To create and implement value propositions and innovative solutions to help break down the barriers to patient access, working collaboratively with UKINOR and Global team members where applicable.
  • To understand the current provision of healthcare across the UK and Ireland (local, regional and national) and anticipate how this is likely to change in the future .
  • To have external stakeholder engagement and build and develop relationships with high level stakeholders.
  • Ensure external insights are shared with relevant stakeholders.
  • To help inform and assess business development opportunities for GRT in UKI.
  • Conduct regular field visits with the NHS PC team to monitor and direct them in their activities.
  • To coach the NHS PC team and to support their development in line with their individual PDPs

Professional experience and education

  • Degree qualified – science based or equivalent
  • Proven success in a 1st line management role
  • Able to demonstrate understanding of patient pathway development
  • Significant working knowledge and experience with the healthcare system.
  • Ability to translate and align Healthcare Policy to  business priorities

Specific skills andknowledge

  • ABPI
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with an high ability to influence and negotiate
  • Previous experience of selling to payers
  • Evidence of gaining formulary and guideline inclusion at hospital and CCG level
  • Experienced Project Manager
