  • Devise the strategic direction and implement the strategic and tactical plans for the Medical Department in the UK
  • Monitor national pharmaceutical industry and healthcare changes, recommending adjustments to activities in order to support the overall company strategy
  • Provide expert medical advice on GRT UK products and therapy areas to internal and external customers.
  • Present on GRT products and competitors (including the interpretation of trial data) and training of employees
  • Provide senior GRT representation and medical input into Medical Education activities, advisory boards, and steering group meetings
  • Routine line management for the Medical team
  • Develop MSL strategy to deliver specific tactical plans for the MSL team to maximise opportunities for customer contacts and maintain effective working relationships with customers
  • Manage the Medical Department budget
  • Ensure compliance and review with the ABPI Code of Practice
  • Create new documents and procedures as required
  • Ensure all feedback on relevant matters is relayed, this includes opportunities and or issues/problems, whilst considering potential solutions
  • Overall responsibility for the setting up and running of Grünenthal UK sponsored and supported Clinical Trials, Investigator Lead Trials and audits
  • Have overall responsibility for the Medical Information function and supporting documents
  • Provide a Final ABPI signature for approval and certification purposes

 

  • Medical university degree/qualification and post graduate qualification(s)
  • Experience in pharmaceutical medicine
  • Expert ABPI Code of Practice knowledge
  • Strong evidence of experience of UK medical practice, including NHS structure and patient pathways
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Knowledge of UK medical political issues
  • Excellent communication skills, including presentations to healthcare professionals
  • Flexible, independent, and proactive working style
  • Attention to detail
  • Proven product launch, Regulatory and Medical Information experience
