What the job looks like
Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:

 

  • As a Warehouse and Logistics Operations Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the warehouse and logistics operations at the site, including inbound, outbound , import/export  and logistics services activities, ensuring compliance with all GDP (Good Distribution Practice) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) regulations, ensuring compliance of Warehouse & Distribution processes with all applicable regulations and legislation.
  • Play a key role in developing and implementing the site's mid-term strategic plan for warehouse and logistics operation and derive key critical annual targets and actions for strategy execution.
  • Lead the warehouse team and support personal growth and development of key critical capabilities, as well as assessment, review and introduce new onboarding and learning systems to ensure continuous optimization and continuous improvement mindset,stablishing and introducing Warehouse & Distribution Dashboard with the right KPIs to steer our business in connection to the Global W&D Dashboard.
  • Connect the Warehouse and Distribution Management concept with international standards within our own network and versus external best practices.
  • Asses, define and roll-out strategic initiatives to improve Warehouse processes,  systems and tools and assure their sustainability.
  • Drive operational efficiencies in Warehouse as service level improvement, Operational efficiencies, Cost reductions strategy, Lean, Six-sigma projects, 5s, among others.  
  • Ensure cross-functional collaboration towards the teams in supply chain and manufacturing, standardization and sharing of best practices within the Global Logistics Community, to ensure the best network for the site, including intralogistics.
  • Support on potential outsourcing strategies.
  • Development on WMS software (eWMS) seeking performance improvements.
  • Adheres to policies, knows and follows EHS standards, promoting a culture of safety, participating in audits and trainings

What you’ll bring to the table 
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:

 

  • University degree preferably in industrial engineering / supply chain/pharmaceutical  (STEM MSc or MBA is a plus).
  • Green Belt Six Sigma Certifications & Supply Chain Certification (APICS/ IBF) desirable.
  • Expertise in GxP regulations, local regulations and good practices in warehousing area desirable.
  • Deep experience in leading and managing warehouse and logistics operations role.
  • Expertise in SAP (MM, WMS ) and other relevant logistics software applications like TMS desirable, experience in digitalization/automation projects desirable.
  • English and Italian fluent.
  • Trustworthy leadership, ability to inspire and to motivate a team of warehouse staff and logistic specialists to achieve operational excellence, effectivness communication with stakeholders from various departments at a both local and a global level. Analytical skills and proactive approach to challenging the status quo and seeking opportunities for continuous improvement, enhancing speed, productivity, and quality.
