What the job looks like

Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:

  • Support development of and implement groupwide strategic legal operations initiatives with main focus on digitalization, automation and standardization (e.g. contract lifecycle management system, matter management system, filing system) 
  • Drive change management in relation to legal operations initiatives
  • Develop and drive promotion of programs that enable collaboration and knowledge sharing within Global Legal
  • Document and continuously improve processes within Global Legal and at interfaces with internal business partners or external partners
  • Develop resources and tools for the business to self-serve legal issues 
  • Develop and enforce processes and policies to manage external vendor usage and spend

What you'll bring to the table

To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:

  • Legal or business master’s degree (or equivalent)
  • 3+ years of professional experience in legal operations in a legal department or a law fir
  • Multiple years of project management experience in cross-functional settings
  • Strong experience in developing, implementing and using legal department technology solutions e.g. contract lifecycle management systems, matter management systems, filing systems
  • Proven process optimization experience in a legal department or a law firm
  • Proven knowledge of general legal principles
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, presentation, communication and networking skills on all hierarchy levels, including C-level
  • “Can-do” and “hands-on” mentality and creativity
  • Fluent in oral and written English, German is a plus
