What the job looks like
Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:
- Project management in the area of Global Operations, Transfer & Integration Management, focus on transfer and integration activities of pharmaceuticals taking into account and adhering to cGMP, e.g. in accordance with the GMP guidelines and ensuring the quality of the pharmaceuticals manufactured.
- Establishment and management of cross-functional project teams as part of the transfer and integration of pharmaceuticals into the Grünenthal Group including the manufacture and testing of pharmaceuticals with the involvement of representatives from production, supply chain, quality and approval matters as well as external partners
- Single and multi-project planning including resource and budget planning and tracking as well as definition of short and long-term goals/KPIs
- Creation and maintenance of the project master plan, the project manual, the timelines, the roadmaps, the project budget and an overview of important decision milestones.
- Responsible for achieving milestones relevant to decisions while adhering to budget, quality and time aspects as well as the corresponding project-related communication.
- Coordination with e.g. Business Development, Patents, Working Groups, etc. to maintain common alignment between Global Operations and the Network strategy as well as clinical, commercial and regulatory matters, project management and external partners.
- Participation in the establishment and creation of pharmaceutical-technical and regulatory documents
- Support of the product range of dosage forms / products throughout the entire life cycle (life cycle management) of the products including troubleshooting in production as well as the overall responsibility for transfer activities as part of the integration and manufacture of new dosage forms
- Planning and coordination of the production of clinical trial samples (drugs for human use) if required for the transfer and the manufacture of commercial products
- Technical and quality assessment of external partners (contract developers and contract manufacturers) for the transfer and manufacture of medicinal products
- Process engineering advice on production and testing of new technologies including alliance management with external CMC and supply chain partners or internal interfaces
What you'll bring to the table
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:
- University degree (PhD preferred but not mandatory) in natural sciences (or comparable degree), preferably in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Engineering
- International Certification in Project Management (e.g. IPMA or PMI)
- Many years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry as Pharmacist in the area of formulation development, manufacturing and quality control of drug products, strong GMP knowledge & Project management expertise
- Understand complex processes and translate to stakeholders
- Navigate challenges with emotional intelligence, fostering a positive work environment and improving overall project effectiveness through resilience.
- Ability to understand how local business connects with overall Grünenthal business
- Documenting, Planning and budget tracking abilities according to our PMTO framework
- Flexibility: be ready to work during project phases “on site” (sending or receiving site)
- Communication skills in order to be able to actively seek to understand others' objectives, points of view, interests and beliefs
- Knowledge about pharmaceutical technology, manufacturing processes, analytical procedures, packaging operations, room conditions, transport conditions, stability requirements, among others.
- Knowledge about pharmaceutics and pharmaceutical technology in a broad spectrum of indications and drug substance classes; experience in working with international project teams;
- excellent English skills (verbal and written)
