What the job looks like
Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:

  • Financial core team member of all kind of licensing & M&A activities (in- and out-licensing, acquisitions, divestments) incl. business case challenging
  • Manage und perform valuation of licensing and M&A projects (incl. scenarios, sensitivity analysis, NPVs) associated with financial assessment
  • Support managing the debt investor and bank relation activities of Grünenthal incl. organizing reporting, meetings/calls, roadshows, (re-)financing activities and answering ad-hoc questions 
  • Manage and enhance a Group Financial Model to support business and deal decisions
  • Manage and perform impairment tests of Grünenthal group
  • Support negotiation teams in optimization of contract design from a financial/strategic perspective; contract challenging; alignment with regard to implications (esp. for financial aspects)
  • Lead and coordinate financial due diligences of licensing and M&A projects together with Group Financial Functions

What you'll bring to the table
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:

  • University degree in economics, business administration or finance; ideally with focus on Controlling, International Management or related subjects
  • Several years of relevant working experience (e.g. Controller, Big Four Consultant, Financial Analyst within an international company)
  • Significant experience in Valuation and Modeling, Business Development, Licensing and M&A activities, Commercial Controlling
  • High commitment to facts and figures – at the same time strategic focus and pragmatic approach
  • Flexible and open to new tasks and challenges in a fast changing environment
  • Business-fluent English and German skills, preferably gained through a stay abroad. Skills of another foreign language (e.g. Spanish) are a plus
