What the job looks like
Each day you´ll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:

  • Being responsible for driving, leading and co-ordinating projects to enable Grünenthal to achieve it’s Global Sustainability ambitions
  • Driving and executing a comprehensive multi-year strategy to continue the company’s drive towards minimizing it’s environmental footprint, focussing technical systems/standards, leadership, behavioural, and cultural aspects
  • Leading and supporting the program of global sustainability projects to drive progress and achieve the strategic ambitions and goals related to carbon neutrality, waste reduction and water quality, across our global operations and business units
  • Generate new projects ideas and provide recommendations and technical expertise which can contribute to the global sustainability strategy
  • Support achievement of Key Performance Measures (KPIs) and continually identify opportunities for improvement
  • Supporting global businesses in defining their sustainability targets and creating visible, accountable plans to achieve them
  • Alignment with project sponsors to collect, report and drive projects, for example ensuring the availability of relevant data relating to the environmental impact of the projects
  • Measurement and calculation of greenhouse gas data associated with project implementation

 

What you´ll bring to the table

To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:

  • Degree in engineering, environmental management or strong environmental professional background as well as ideally a professional certification in environment 
  • Relevant experience of environmental management experience is required
  • Experience of wastewater management and proven ability to effectively communicate through and work in a matrix organization in a multinational company
  • Ability and willingness to work in a high performing team as well as track record in managing multiple conflicting priorities and projects
  • Fluent business English skills
  • Willingness to travel 
  • A high level of commitment, patient-centric approach as well as a structured and independent way of working combined with analytical thinking, team spirit and service orientation
  • Result driven and value adding working style and actively seeking diverse input and contributions when designing solutions
