What the job looks like

Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as: 

  • Design and deliver screening plate layouts and provide special liquid handling solutions according to internal & external laboratories and research project needs
  • Organize and supervise vendor repairs & vendor maintenance for the entire solid handling and liquid handling system pool
  • Establish Compound Characterization services beyond standard LC-MS & NMR at CROs to drive small molecules fast toward Leads and Candidate
  • Registration of new research samples in databases, administration of compound inventory & ordering system and interfaces to technical equipment
  • Lead projects on continuous improvement & system upgrades, keeping liquid and solid handling at the state-of-the-art, inclusive implementation of new technologies
  • Support global compound logistics with provision of required shipping documentation in accordance with different international regulations
  • Represent Lead Generation in multi-disciplinary research project teams

What you'll bring to the table

To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have: 

  • PhD in Chemistry or related area with industry or academic experience in Compound Management or Lab Automation
  • Good Project Management skills and a track record in collaborating with CROs
  • Proven experience with the following systems would be beneficial: Beckman Sami EX Software, Biomek NX/FX dispenser, Hamilton Star series dispenser, Titian Mosaic, Brooks Storage & JSC Software, Kardex Remstar Shuttle.
  • Basic knowledge in logistics, especially shipping documentation, would be an add-on
  • Fluent German & business English language skills in speaking & writing
  • Excellent communicator with ability to build interpersonal relationships in working teams across functional areas and in interactions with external partners and CROs.
