What the job looks like
Each you'll enjoy a variety of challenges such as:

  • Architect and maintain an enterprise-wide data governance and enablement framework, with a focus on process leverage, data quality and the protection of sensitive data through policies, standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, related tools and data architecture.
  • Create, manage and facilitate a Data Policy Governance process to identify and understand the critical data issues in terms of business impact/risk/opportunity and ensure data policy enforcement and compliance. Align formal standards, policies and processes. 
  • Develop and deliver status updates on data quality, data health, and data usage across the organization by creating and updating a dashboard
  • Kindle and manage data governance community, provide mentorship, define and manage roles and responsibilities to ensure clear accountability.
  • Develop and execute enterprise-wide remediation plans relating to data (quality) issues.
  • Maintain documentation of the main business processes and information objects in the enterprise
  • Run the data and analytics governance board and drive actions
  • Support IT project solution design as it pertains data governance

What you'll bring to the table
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:

  • Master degree in (business) computer science, engineering or comparable
  • Proven track record with regards to data governance and creating business impact.
  • Experience in setting up/managing a community of data governance stakeholders
  • Relevant and in-depth knowledge of Pharmaceutical industry and key business processes, with its specific requirements relating to security, privacy, ethics and quality requirements
  • Degree in (business) computer science, engineering or comparable
  • General understanding of the SAP information model
  • Experience with big data and data analysis techniques, ideally with Azure
  • Facilitation, process modelling and conflict resolution skills
  • Solid project management skills
  • English and German fluent
