What the job looks like
Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:

  • Develop a strategy and implement a global communications plan for the Commercial organization
  • Provide counsel to senior management and Brand Team Leads to maximize communications in order to support the achievement of business objectives
  • Develop strategic content and maximize impact across internal and external channels
  • Identify and create targeted opportunities to highlight Grünenthal‘s unique commitment to and leadership in pain
  • Identify key brand milestones and develop communication strategies and tactics to support business objectives
  • Work closely with and coordinate activities with affiliate communicators to deliver tactics, tools and programs for local use
  • Anticipate, prepare for and manage brand franchise issues with business/reputation impact
  • Be an active member of the Commercial Leadership Board
  • Work collaboratively with the Global Communications team in order to manage communications across all external and internal Grunenthal channels by coordinating and developing high-quality, consistent, coherent and crisp content
  • Manage PR consultants and agencies


What you'll bring to the table
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s (Master’s preferred) degree in Communications, Public Relations and/or Business Administration
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic communications and content management
  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven ability to deliver in fast-paced environments and adapting to changing stakeholder needs
  • Experience in building networks in a global organization as well as working across multiple cultures
  • Business fluency in English
  • Excellent written (drafting and editing) and oral communication skills
  • Strong executive presence; proven ability to effectively work with and influence senior management
  • Ability to understand complex information and data and to communicate in simple terms to diverse stakeholders including media, internal and lay audiences
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple high-profile projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines
